The Early Childhood Special Education Inclusion team supports children with special needs and their families by providing a range of special education services. We work directly with children and their families to address each child's educational needs in their community classrooms and environments and also provide consultative services to the classroom teachers of children with special needs.
What is inclusion?
Inclusion services are provided based on the philosophy that every child and family is a full and participating member of a community and that some children with special needs may require additional support in order to have a successful experience as part of their community, such as a childcare or preschool classroom.In these cases special education services are provided to children in their community programs.
